Dodge is an American brand of automobile manufactured by FCA US LLC, based in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Dodge vehicles currently include performance cars, though for much of its existence Dodge was Chrysler's mid-priced brand above Plymouth.

Founded as the Dodge Brothers Company machine shop by brothers Horace Elgin Dodge and John Francis Dodge in the early 1900s, Dodge was originally a supplier of parts and assemblies for Detroit-based automakers and began building complete automobiles under the "Dodge Brothers" brand in 1914, predating the founding of Chrysler Corporation. The factory was located in Hamtramck, Michigan, and was called the Dodge Main factory from 1910 until its closing in January 1980. Both the Dodge brothers died from the Spanish Flu in 1920, and the company was sold by their families to Dillon, Read & Co. in 1925 before being sold to Chrysler in 1928.

There are several reasons why you should dodge Dodge, including the fact that car industry experts say that when a decision is made to buy material cost always comes before quality.

A drivers experience with dodge in Europe is simple. Every interior panel is made of the cheapest possible plastic you can imagine. Its also not durable. The interior not only looks cheap it feels cheap and simply screams cheap. the interior also looks plain and ugly. No efforts were made to dress it up or conceal the plain looking dash. The carseats feel like a cushioned plank. Even worse than Dacia.

In other words. a new Dodge looks and feels worse than a Dacia which is basically a recycled Renault. I could not get myself to test drive that waste of resources. A coworker of mine owns a dodge. He claims its not fun to drive but at least it is big and handy to take his baby with him everywhere. He would not shed a tear if someone stole that car.

Former Employee - Sales says

"Lack of leadership, no consistent direction, inferior product. Our competition is running circles around us. Lots of dirty behavior among reps. Some co-workers can't be trusted. Morale was so bad. HR department is a joke run by the clueless. Revolving door of CEOs."

Former Employee - Sales says

"Deception. Deceptive HR. Deceptive owners (Symphony) Low morale. Deceptive sales practices."

Former Employee - Territory Sales Manager says

"Dodge’s success has been fostered by our continuous commitment to innovation, customer service, and our associates. We launched a completely new integrated construction project data portal that brings together the best available data for the North American construction market, an unmatched suite of analytical tools, and a bid collaboration platform. We will continue to invest in developing exciting new capabilities and improving our data collection sources and methods to further extend our lead in the market."

Current Employee - Account Manager says

"almost illegal sale practices leave mess and mayhem for the account management team."

Current Employee - Business Development Manager says

"Desperation - excessive metrics around activities, how many calls, how many meetings, who's going to ring the bell today"

Current Employee - Sales says

"The CEO is running the business into the ground while Human Resources is only good for accompanying management on a phone call to terminate an employee. Look through the reviews on Glassdoor and you will find NO response from the HR Department on issues facing the employees. They simply do not care about our welfare."

Former Employee - Sales Representative says

"Management team is checked out and lacks experience to create the future this brand deserves. The data quality has declined significantly since acquisitions several years ago and customers notice it. Product platforms are disconnected and technology is lacking. Benefits are awful but that goes with the PE territory. They are killing this company."

Current Employee - Inside Sales Representative says

"Neither of the 3 stooges that are running the sales department has ever sold ANYTHING. So if you like working for a boss who is constantly emailing / yelling at you, in all caps to: JUST SELL IT!! Then this will be ideal. It has zero ongoing training and they treat employees like dumb farm animals, who can easily be replaced. It is a very dysfunctional working environment. Constant babble about inappropriate topics among the "team". Its like working at the Male Version of "Mean Girls." Welcome back to High School....Kiss up big time or get slammed down. Its that bad,. You have been warned!"

Service Coordinator, Tri County Chrysler (Former Employee) says

"Customer service is horrible. Tri county dodge needs. Needs new management. Manager doesn’t strive for success and pay very little to customers requests."

"The hours were terrible. None can live with the expectations from management. Days off were non existing. Also, no hourly pay only commission based. Sales and Leasing Consultant (Former Employee) says

"The people that have worked there for many years are settled in with regular clientelle. if you are new to calgary, have no prospects and dont know a soul in the city... this is NOT the place for you. I worked at Nissan as well, before this. They were great. This place is like walking into a party where youre the useless nerd no one likes. No one talked to me. No one helped out in any way. It was kind of ridiculous to be honest. Anyway... if you are planning on BUYING a dodge, go to this place, the veterans there definitely try to help people out and are looking to grow their consistent client base. just dont go work there if you dont have an existing client base. thats all.cool people, good location, decent place to work if you bring a client base with you.cold peers, non-helpful management, preferential treatment."

Inventory Clerk (Former Employee) says

"The job itself was not bad, kept me busy. However, they management was extremely untrustworthy. "management does not care about your personal needs or anything you have going on outside of work. if you have a sick child you must have plans A,B, and C. they talk about you behind your backs and fight with each other non stop. people quit all the time because of how unprofessional they are. but besides the management the job itself was really fun and the customers were always great. very home town store and you see everyone you know."

I learned allot from my co-workers on jobs that i needed help with the taught me easier and faster ways to gte jobs donefree lunch sometimesfast pace"

sunny j says

"Dodge and most American vehicles still have a loud horn honk when you set the alarm… Do any of these engineers live close to neighbors or ever pull up late at night and don’t want a loud horn honk to wake people up? It’s hard to fathom that they are still designed like this! Also, on this 2020 dodge caravan When I press recirculate for the cabin air to stay circulating clean air rather than sucking in exhaust from trucks, the setting switch is off and goes back to pulling in truck exhaust… Another design flaw that is totally unacceptable"

Blob says

"It is sometimes very inappropriate and volante."
